Native vs hybrid development: what's the difference
Mobile development splits into two approaches: native and hybrid. Native means the iOS app is written in Swift and the Android app in Kotlin. It's not a wrapper over web technologies but full-fledged code that interacts directly with the operating system. Such an app behaves exactly as the user of each specific platform expects.
Hybrid frameworks — Flutter and React Native — let you create a single codebase for both platforms. This saves time and money at the start: one developer writes code that runs on both iOS and Android. A good choice for an MVP, simple apps or a limited budget, when time to market matters more than platform precision.
Mobile app development with a native approach is a different level of quality. The app fully uses system APIs (Face ID, Apple Pay, Google Pay, NFC, HealthKit), runs more smoothly and uses less battery. The interface behavior matches the expectations of each platform's users: iOS and Android are different ecosystems with different logic for navigation, gestures and interaction. The native approach accounts for this; the hybrid one only partly.

If performance, deep hardware integration and correct UX matter to you, the native approach justifies the investment — especially for long-term use of the product. If the task is to quickly test a hypothesis on a limited budget, a hybrid framework can be a reasonable choice.

Design and UX
⌄We start with an analysis of the business task and target audience. We build the user flow, draw wireframes, and design the UI/UX in Figma. We prepare an interactive prototype for approval before development begins — this helps surface contentious points and fix them before they become expensive. For offline mode, we separately design the data synchronization logic: what is cached locally, when it updates, and how conflicts are resolved when several devices make changes in parallel.

iOS Development (Swift)

Adaptation for different screen sizes, pixel densities and OS versions. Android is a fragmented platform: we account for this in design and testing.
Backend and API
⌄We develop the server side from scratch or connect to the client's existing API. We use Node.js and FastAPI, build REST and WebSocket connections, and set up authorization, a role model and data security. We design the API with mobile constraints in mind: minimizing the number of requests, optimizing data transfer for slow connections, and implementing pagination and caching.
Integrations
⌄We connect payment systems (LiqPay, Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay), push notifications via FCM and APNs, analytics (Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and the client's external systems: CRM, ERP, dealer platforms, accounting systems. Integrations are tested on real scenarios, including behavior on an unstable connection, timeouts and retries.
Testing and Launch
